Blue Ridge Ski Club ANNUAL PROM

allison-dinetta-lawnhaven-13.jpg

Where:   Stroudsmoor Country Inn - Lawnhaven venue - 257 Stroudsmoor Rd, Stroudsburg, PA  18360

When:   Friday, April 26, 2024, beginning at 6:30PM cocktail hour.   Dinner at 7:30PM....entertainment until 10:30PM.

Here are the details:  We begin the evening with a premium brand liquor package of one hour of open bar from 6:30 - 7:30PM, followed by a cash bar for the rest of the evening.  (A majority of your elected officers and Board of Directors voted to maintain the bar package as it's been for this year.)   A wide variety of passed hors d'oeuvres will satisfy your palate during the cocktail hour, something that Stroudsmoor seems to outdo themselves, year after year!

The Grand Buffet follows, featuring garden salad tableside, chef prepared salads at the buffet, 2 chef select pastas, Italian meats in sauce, eggplant rollatini, chicken francese, flounder florentine, chef select veggies, seasoned rice and on the cutting board, roast sirloin of beef.   A special dessert will follow the delicious dinner.

Entertainment:  We have booked our usual band, John Cannavo and friends, back by popular demand.   They fill the dance floor, year after year, with their great tunes.

Door prizes/raffle:    Because donations from ski areas, etc. are becoming increasingly difficult to secure, and essentially extinct, we are planning to form a committee of Maureen Fedorishen and myself and anyone else who would be willing to help us out, to solicit donations such as gift cards or baskets from  businesses in our area to provide added value for attendance at this event.     Depending on the value of the donations we secure, we may also have a raffle for a gift or two at the PROM.   We request your help if you have an "in" with any business locally, as well.    Maureen suggested that for any members who wish to donate items you are unable to use like timeshare weeks, sporting event tickets, etc., we welcome those gifts, as well.   Several of you have been very generous over the years and we thank you for that!

Cost and RSVP info:  Less than a lift ticket, we all know costs have increased with everything.  The club treasury helps to defray the cost of this event by paying for the band and their costs, as well as some of the gratuity.  The cost is $90/per person.  For those that have attended in the past, you know that this event is one that should not be missed.   Overnight accommodations are available at Stroudsmoor....check out their website at:  https://www.stroudsmoor.com/inn/

We need your RSVP, along with payment, NO LATER THAN Friday, April 5, 2024.

Checks payable to:  BRSC, and mail to:  Bridget Dorsey, 236 Messinger Street, Bangor, PA  18013   If you are planning on attending, just to get a tentative "head count", please reply to this email to let me know your plans.
